It's ELECTION DAY...
This is your friendly reminder that any parent of a student who will be enrolled in an FCPS school NEXT YEAR is eligible to vote today at your child's school office for one person to represent parents on the search committee. If you have more than one child enrolled in the Franklin County Public Schools, we ask that you select one school location and vote only once. See below for statements from each nominee. Please take a few minutes to cast your ballot today!
Each of the 10 nominees to serve as a representative on the search committee for a new superintendent has submitted a statement explaining why he or she would like to serve on this committee. These statements are posted here for your review. Read the nominee's statements and get more information about the election here...

Morning! Happy Friday!
I wanted to officially (since I’m sure you’ve already heard) that I am retiring as of Aug 1, 2017. I turn 55 in July and will finish out that month as the principal here at the “Port.. It has been an amazing journey and I have treasured our time together. I wanted to go on and publically announce this early so our sbdm can get busy finding the very best choice for here for next school year and beyond. I feel so blessed to have spent the last almost 24 years with you all in this wonderful learning community. I am excited for you all and the new person who is lucky enough to be chosen as your new principal. I will take many friendships and much love and pride with me as our family embarks on our next adventure and my encore career-whatever that turns out to be.
Enjoy your weekend!
