Can you change the world? 4th graders at Bridgeport can!
4th Grade students at Bridgeport Elementary participated in a service project where they brought in clothes to send to an orphanage in Uganda. The children they helped had been rescued from the streets and placed into Save Our Street Children Uganda which is a program designed to make a difference in their country. Bridgeport 4th graders then worked on writing pieces about how they could change the world. Students created a bond with the children they helped in Uganda and even Skyped with them to share more about their interests, education, and culture. They look forward to working more closely with them throughout the school year.
