BMS Named a National Beta School of Distinction
The Bondurant Beta Club has been named a National Beta School of Distinction.  This national award speaks highly of Bondurant's commitment to academic rigor and illustrates the dedication of preparing students for college and career readiness.  
WHHS Proficient School Two Years Running
SHOUT OUT TO Western Hills High School for scoring Proficient for the 2nd year in a row on state testing.  We are the only school in Franklin County that has had two consecutive years at the proficiency level.  View our school report card at http://applications.education.ky.gov/SRC/
 
Bridgeport Let's Play 3K Results!
Bridgeport Elementary would like to thank everyone that came out to the Let's Play 3K. We had over 530 registrants and just over 460 finshers. The race was a huge success and we appreciate your support. Congratulations to Blake Redmon from Franklin County High School for a winning time of 11:27. We hope that you will join us next year!

Jamie Hoofnagle, 6th grade SS teacher at Elkhorn Middle, was named Middle School Social Studies Teacher of the Year by the Kentucky Council of Social Teachers.

Franklin County Flyers STATE BOUND!!!

2014 9th Region Champions!!!

The kids shot a 300, which is the new school record for low team score in the post season! After 12 holes our team was 14-over par. We played the last 6 holes at 2-under par to finish 12-over par for the tournament and win going away by 8 strokes! Jacob Cook 2014 9th Region Medalist!!! Jacob shot 4-under par 32 on the back 9 including birdies on his last 3 holes to win with a 2-under par 70 - WOW what a finish!!! Senior Co-Captain Ben Nolan fired his career low round of 2-over par 74 to finish tied for 4th place overall!!! I am so very proud of these guys and the wonderful season they have had and the character and integrity with which they play the game!!! Winners of 6 straight tournaments and 7 tournaments out of the 11 we've played!!!

STLP Earning Badges
The Kentucky Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) is implementing a new gamification element this year! Schools will have the opportunity to earn STLP badges they can showcase on their STLP websites. The badges are earned based on the activities in which the school’s STLP students participate. 2nd Annual FCHS "Haunted School"
The second annual “Haunted School” will be at Franklin County High School on October 25th from 7:00 until 11:30. Admission will be 3.00. All proceeds will go to the Student Council organization which benefits the entire student body. Anyone under the age of sixteen is recommended to be accompanied by an adult.  
Pay It Forward
There is a wonderful service opportunity going on right now through November 22, for our Backpack Snacks food program.  The Joining Hands Family Resource Center, which services Collins Lane and Hearn Elementary is sponsoring the event. Please see the attached flyer for more specific information.
