Latino/Multicultural College Fair

The 2017 Latino/Multicultural College fair will offer tailored workshops for our Latino/Multicultural students- such as FAFSA, DACA and undocumented student workshops, scholarship search for all, and more! All students will have the opportunity to explore the college fair. EKU has invited colleges and university from across Kentucky!

Regional College Fair Sept 11th at WHHS!
Western Hill High School is holding a regional college fair next Monday, Sept. 11, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The fair is aimed primarily at high school juniors and seniors, but is open to the entire community. It is not too early for younger students to start considering their college options.

More than 50 colleges will be represented at the fair to provide information and answer questions about admissions, enrollment, scholarships, majors and minors and other programs available to students. The Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) also will have representatives available to provide information about financial aid for college.  
ESS Begins on Tuesday, Sept. 5th
After School Tutoring begins September 5, 2017.
Tutoring is available in Math, English, Science, and Social Studies...Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 3:30-4:30.
Buses are provided after tutoring. However, students must stay the entirety of the tutoring session and must provide a pass to the driver from the teacher they stayed with in order to ride the bus.
Tutoring applications are available in the counseling office at FCHS or can be downloaded and printed by CLICKING HERE.  
Smith wins $15,000 McConnell Award, Hurley, Mason also honored
Sherri Smith, an English teacher at Franklin County High School (FCHS), was awarded $15,000 Thursday morning by virtue of winning the John Ed McConnell Extra Mile Award. Smith, who has taught at FCHS 30 years, was surprised with the award during the school's year-end Honors Day celebration. 
Lewis named new principal at FCHS
Congratulations to Mr. Charles Lewis, who has been selected as the next principal at Franklin County High School. Mr. Lewis is currently an assistant principal at FCHS and has been at the school for nine years. He will assume his new position this summer.
