This is your friendly reminder that any parent of a student who will be enrolled in an FCPS school NEXT YEAR is eligible to vote today at your child's school office for one person to represent parents on the search committee. If you have more than one child enrolled in the Franklin County Public Schools, we ask that you select one school location and vote only once. See below for statements from each nominee. Students Earn Proficient Ratings at State World Language Association Showcase
Several Western Hills High School Spanish and French students competed on Saturday, March 25th, at the State World Language Showcase at the University of Kentucky.  The following students competed in Interpersonal, Interpretive, and Presentational tasks and received overall proficiency ratings.  
French Students: Katie Bennett, Megan Aldridge, Tamara Rudic, Meredith Spencer, Antuan Lemon, Carter Smith  

Spanish Students: Jayda Robertson, Kara Tucker, Zoe Ward, Alex Maines, Alex White 

Capital CIty Regional FFA Paperwork Day
Western Hills High School hosted the Capital City Regional FFA Paperwork Day on Thursday, March 23rd. Here are the results for WHHS student competitors.

Gracie Staude was elected as Capital City Region Vice President.
Graduate- Erica Nesselrode was selected as candidate for State FFA Office.

In record books (records about their Ag projects) WHHS students had a great day. Students who earn 1st place move on to state.

WHHS Students Win Awards at HOSA Conference
Students from Western Hills High School attended the HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) Conference in Louisville March 17-19. The following students won awards while there.

WHHS Delegation Had a Successful KUNA Conference
Students from Western Hills High School attended the Kentucky United Nations Assembly (KUNA) Conference in Louisville March 12-14th. They represented Western Hills well and received the following awards.

On Wednesday, March 8th, members of the Western Hills High School FFA competed at the Capital City Region FFA Day. Here are the results:

Students Advance to State in Governor's Cup
A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Abdullah Ateyeh, Katie Bennett, and Theresa Jaminet--all three students are going to STATE Governor's Cup with top five finishes in written exams. Jaclyn Aldridge is also going with a Top 5 finish in written composition. 
Abdullah--3rd in math

Katie--3rd in both language arts AND humanities

Theresa--4th in language arts
Jaclyn Aldridge--5th in written composition

Western Hills placed 4th overall in quick recall as well as 4th overall in total points--out of 16 teams.
Since Ryan Hale has been coaching, this is the most students WHHS has ever sent to State in one year. We are very proud of Abdullah, Katie, Theresa, Jaclyn and the entire team. We have some pretty phenomenal students.
